Advance Course in Advertising
This Course has Two key Objectives :
To provide students interested in consumer communications as a career, grounding in the fundamentals – the concepts, the methods and the practices – to ease their entry into the profession.
To provide early career students the opportunity to understand the basis of decision making in consumer communications so that their ability to take or influence decisions on the job is enhanced.
The following major clusters of topics will be covered:Macro aspects of Advertising : History, Law and Ethics, Social communication.
Advertising process : Consumer psychology, Brand planning and research.
Creating Advertising : The Creative process, Writing, Visualising.
Managing Advertising : Servicing, Media planning, Buying, Budgeting, training.
Off media Activities : Public Relations, Promotions, Activation, Direct Marketing.
The methods of teaching will include classroom lecture by regular faculties all of whom are working industry professionals of repute, special classes by visiting faculties, quiz, open sessions, exposure to various production process by visiting the relevant centers and projects.The assessment will be based on the quality of project work. Equipments like LCD projector, audio systems, wi-fi are available and will be used as per the requirement.
Educational Qualification :
Must be a graduate.Students at the final year of graduation can also apply though their admission will be provisional subject to their clearing the degree course examination successfully.Proficiency in English language will be preferred.Eligible candidates must apply to CMI in the prescribed form alongwith address proof and education proof.Candidates will be selected through Personal Interview.
