Sudipto Sengupta

Sudipto Sengupta completed his B.Sc from Calcutta University in 1993 and his P G Diploma in Motion Picture Photography from FTII (Pune) in 1998 After that he started freelancing at Mumbai as an Asst cameraman/ Operative cameraman .During this time his important work was ‘Chal Mere Bhai ‘ , ‘ Jai Shakumbhari Maa’ (Feature Films) etc and ‘ Movers and Shakers’ ‘ Wagle ki nayi duniya’ (TV Serials) etc. He started working at Calcutta from 1999 and his first work as a cinematographer was the serial ‘Beauty Parlour’ for Zee Bangla and a non fiction cultural review programme for Sahara channel. Till date he has shot over fifty projects in Film & Television. To mention a few are ‘ Final Mission’ ‘Seven Days’ Thikana Rajpath’ ‘Aleya’ ‘Mahanagri’ (Feature Films), ‘ Srote'( DD BANGLA) ‘Bastaab'(TARA BANGLA), ‘Nayantara'(Zee Bangla), Telefilms like ‘Abanir Lottery’ ‘Kuasa’ ‘No Entry’ ‘Sparsha’ ‘Kone’. Also made Ad FILMS like ‘Anjali jewellers’ ‘D K basak jewellers’, Proforce Condom'(Mumbai) etc, Music Videos like ‘Geetanjali’, ‘Shaan'(Mumbai) etc, Documentaries on ‘Sarbashikha Abhijan’,’Sabera foundation’ etc., Corporate Film on TATA GC Sheet ,TATA STEEL, ADITYA BIRLA CSR Work etc He has worked as visiting faculty at various institutes ; at FTII (PUNE) as external faculty(2005), at ISBM KOLKATA as Ad-junct faculty(2010-11), at ‘Ritwik Academy'(2001-06) etc.
